Nesta x StoryFutures Immersive Fellowships in Mental Health:
Applications now live
StoryFutures and Nesta, the global innovation foundation are searching for three talented creative companies to develop an immersive experience with the potential to positively impact peoples mental health.
We are trialing a new way for creative practitioners and academic researchers to work together on an immersive for good collaboration. The fellowships are open to individuals from creative companies in the Gateway Cluster area to support a dedicated member of staff to lead the development of an immersive early stage proof of concept prototype experience. Four fellowships are now open for applications with an emphasis in the following areas.
Project 1: Adult emotional and psychological difficulties
Project 2: Youth and family mental health
Project 3: Self-compassion
Project 4: Bullying and mental health
Successful applicants will receive up to £20,000 funding alongside academic expertise & resource from leading psychology researchers at Royal Holloway, University of London, and significant in-kind support from the StoryFutures and Nesta teams.
On Offer:
- £10,000 for a member of staff (the Fellow) to create a prototype that responds to one of the topics in the brief
- £10,000 production budget, in addition to the above, for prototype development.
- An academic partner from Royal Holloway, University of London to give expert help and practical input.
- Opening doors to private, public and third sector organisations who can offer routes to further development and market roll-out
